September is Overflowing with Green Country Events

Maybe it’s the cooler weather or just the right time of year for annual events
such as fairs and festivals, but September is definitely overflowing with fun,
family events. So, even though school has started, there’s plenty of time to
enjoy events and attractions in communities throughout northeast Oklahoma’s
Green Country. From festivals and fairs to fly-ins, cook-offs and Pow-Wows,
September activities await.
With on-going events continuing through September, be sure to review the
schedules at such destinations as the Tulsa Zoo, the Tulsa Air and Space
Museum and Planetarium, Oklahoma Aquarium, Bartlesville’s Woolaroc Museum
and Nature Preserve, and Price Tower Arts Center, Tahlequah’s Cherokee
Heritage Center, Tulsa’s Gilcrease and Philbrook Museums, Tulsa’s BOK Center
and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Also, many lake activities continue this
month, and area wineries welcome fall with exciting harvest-time events.
