Nowata Chamber of Commerce
It’s time to make a “clean sweep” and make some extra cash to boot! The
Nowata Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a fall City Wide Garage Sale
event on September 10 & 11. And this year, Nowata will again join 14 other
cities on a 100 mile route of yard sales in the 3rd Annual KAN-OKLA 100 Mile
Yard Sale. The sales will run from Independence, Ks south on Hwy 75 to
Bartlesville, then east on Hwy 60 to Nowata, back north on Hwy 169 to
Coffeyville, Ks and east on Hwy 166 to Sedan.
You can set up for one day or two and if you want to do some shopping, then
partner with a friend or neighbor so you can both can shop and sell during the
two day event.
If you live in the country or need a ‘prime “location for your sale, then set up at
Nowata’s Trade Days at the Nowata County Fairgrounds..
If your club or organization is looking for a fundraiser, here is a great opportunity
to have some fun while raising dollars for that worthwhile event. Either set up a
sale or provide a stop off place for lunch and refreshments-Take this
opportunity to come up with a creative plan of your own to make some money!
And if you register with the Chamber, we will help you get the word out!
Since the 100 Mile yard Sale route travels Hwy 60, Nowata business owners can
take advantage of the traffic traveling through town on Friday to have a
“Sidewalk Bargains” sale. And if you register with the Chamber, we will put you
on the map for extra advertising.
To get your sale on the Chamber map to be distributed around town is easy and
only costs $5.00! That is a bargain and a great investment in Chamber
business! You may register at the Chamber office at 126 S. Maple between 9:
00-1:00pm, Mon –Fri, or mail your sale information and check to Nowata Area
Chamber of Commerce at PO Box 202, Nowata Ok 74048.
