Miles and Miles of Yard Sales Crossing State Lines!
Pack a bag and spend a couple of days searching out all those bargains you’ve
been longing to have! Southeast Kansans and northeast Oklahomans are
getting together to host towns full of yard sales just for you on Friday and
Saturday, September 10 & 11.
The 2nd Annual KAN-OKLA 100 Mile Highway Sale will take place on Sept 10 &
11. The area will be packed with yards sales and flea markets with the route
running from Sedan, KS to Coffeyville, KS south to Nowata, OK east to
Bartlesville, OK north on Hwy 75 thru Dewey, Copan, OK thru Caney, KS north 4
miles to Caney Valley Antique Power Associations flea market where camping
will be available and on north to Independence. The towns of Sedan, Dearing,
Independence, Caney, Dewey, Coffeyville, Lenapah and Nowata are also
planning citywide sales. And several of the towns will have large areas along
the highways for sales to set up with maps available in each town.
All kinds of collectibles, antiques, jewelry, nick knacks, used furniture, toys and
much, much more will be found at local garage sales along a highway square of
state highways including Kansas 166, OK 75, OK169 and OK 60 in addition to
entire city wide sales, antique shops, antique malls, quilt shops, flea markets, old
soda fountain shop, novelty stores, western town replica and unique eateries.
The Kansas towns along Hwy 166 include ‘Yellow Brick Road” Sedan, the Caney
Valley Antique Power camping and flea market. Caney with its Safari Zoo, Tyro
home of “Little House On The Prairie”, Dearing’s King Coffee Company and
Coffeyville, which is a host to the Aviation Museum, Dalton Museum, Brown
Mansion, Country Time Theatre music show and many antique and specialty
shops in a beautiful historic setting.
Not to be outdone are the Oklahoma towns of Copan with its picturesque lake,
Dewey known for the Tom Mix Museum and Dewey Hotel, Prairie Song town and
antique and specialty shopping, Bartlesville famous for the Price Tower and
historic residential oil baron district and Nowata’s Trade Days, Farmer’s Market,
bowling ball art and Nowata’s opry style country music show, Lenapah’s historic
museum, Delaware’s Methodist Church yummy Bake Sale and Brown Bag
Lunch with So Coffeyville squaring off the trip back north..
Come for the day or spend the weekend-but plan to be a part of this historic
event of Kansans and Oklahomans together hosting 100 miles of sales! For
