Nowata Chamber of Commerce
Nowata County Back 2 School Bash is happening on July 31st from 10 – 2.
We will be providing school supplies; hair cut certificates and immunizations for
pre-k thru 8th grade. The immunization van will be there to help children to get
current on the immunizations.
This event will take place at the Nowata Boys & Girls Club. Applications were
passed out in your school in May. If you completed the application and turned it
in before the dead line we will be sending you a reminder of the event.
You can call Jennifer at 273-1841 ext. 2207 or Ronda at 440-1556 or Ginger at
273-1500 to check the list. So far we have had over 226 children sign up.
We are also still in need of school supplies for these children. You can drop
these supplies off at the following locations. Regent Bank, Arvest Bank, Nowata
CAN, 1st Baptist Church, Grand Lake Mental Health. There will be boxes in the
lobbies for these supplies to be dropped off at.
You can still donate in the form of money for these supplies also. We ask that
you make your checks out to Nowata County Back 2 School Bash as we have
had a great response in the form of money we have been able to open a
checking account just for this event. You can mail your donation to PO Box 53
Nowata, OK. 74048. You can also call one of us at the top and we can pick the
donations up.
We appreciate all those that have already donated for this year’s bash. The
families will be very appreciative of these supplies.
