Nowata Chamber of Commerce

The festivities for Nowata’s Annual Wild Turkey Festival and Fourth of July
Celebration proved to be a big hit with everyone!  The event began on time at 3:
30pm at the Jack Gordon Park and ended with a beautiful fireworks show at
dusk.  The Nowata Fire Department served up hamburgers, hot dogs and
homemade ice cream, followed by free children’s games, the turtle races,
fundraiser auction, free watermelon feed and the famous Turkey Drop.

The games, Turtle Races, Turkey Drop and Auction went off without a hitch.
Winners of the Turtle Races were 1st Place-Damien Sikes, 2nd Place-Weston
