The monthly meeting, of the Kan-Okla 100 mile highway sale will be held July
14, at 7:00 P.M. in Nowata at the Nowata Chamber Office, 126 S Maple. Public is
invited to come and help with the final planning for the fourth annual HIGH WAY
SALE, that will be held Sept 9 & 10, 2011. Bring your ideas on how to make this
sale a continuing success.
We are looking for individuals interested in helping organize the city wide garage
sales that take place along with the Kan-Okla highway sale. We need individuals
in Bartlesville, Copan, Nowata, and South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. We also need
help organizing Independence, Kansas.
The Kan-Okla highway sale starts along highway 75 in Dewey north to Copan,
OK, then to Caney and Independence Kansas to 10th street back to Dearing to
Coffeyville, and back through South Coffeyville, to Nowata then ends in
Bartlesville, Okla.
The Kan-Okla highway sale is highly advertised throughout the United States.
Last year we had thousands of visitors through our towns shopping the highway
sale. Through our guest books along the highway sale route and in our
museums, in each town, some of the states represented were Texas, Missouri,
Florida, Louisiana, California, New Mexico, Arkansas and Alabama.
